John Honeyman & Keppie and James Pittendrigh Macgillivrayexhibited a design for a memorial to Dr Peter Low (1550–1612), to be sited at Glasgow Cathedral, at the Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts in 1892 (783). No further information about the design is known. Dr Low was the founder of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is buried in the Cathedral churchyard. A memorial to him, by James Pittendrigh Macgillivray, was erected in 1891, and this drawing may be linked to that commission.
Authorship: The design was exhibited under the name of the practice. No evidence has emerged to link it to Mackintosh.
