Mackintosh's Grecian neo-classical competition design for a public hall won the 1890 Alexander Thomson Travelling Studentship awarded by the Glasgow Institute of Architects, and a silver medal in the Department of Science and Art National Competition in 1891.

Authorship: Drawings were published in the British Architect under Mackintosh's name. 1
