Mackintosh designed a room setting, including panelling, fittings and decoration, in which items of applied and fine art by the Mackintoshes and McNairs were displayed at the Eighth Exhibition of the Vienna Secession.

Authorship: The exhibition catalogue and Mackintosh's correspondence with Hermann Muthesius and the Vienna Secession give details of his contribution to the exhibition, and of the work shown by The Four.

Status: Temporary

'Mackintosh Architecture' led by The Hunterian, University of Glasgow, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council; with additional support from The Monument Trust, The Pilgrim Trust, and the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art; and collaborative input from Historic Scotland and the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland.
